Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Hybrid Accounting Assistant/Clerk. This role blends traditional clerical duties with basic accounting tasks, offering an opportunity to gain practical experience in both fields. The ideal candidate should possess strong numerical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and supports various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process invoices, expense reports, and payments.
Reconcile statements and resolve billing discrepancies.
Assist in the preparation of aging reports.

General Ledger Maintenance:
Enter financial transactions into the accounting system.
Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and files.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support such as answering phones, filing documents, and handling correspondence.
Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements for the finance team.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Conduct variance analysis and identify trends.
Audit Support:
Prepare audit schedules and assist auditors during the audit process.
Ensure audit compliance and documentation.

Qualifications:
Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant coursework or equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Experience: Prior experience in an accounting or clerical role is advantageous. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) is a plus.

Skills:
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
