Join a dynamic academic community dedicated to providing a rigorous liberal arts and professional education. We are seeking qualified applicants to fill part-time adjunct faculty positions within the Chemistry Department for the Spring 2025, Summer 2025, and Fall 2025 semesters. Opportunities are available to teach both undergraduate and graduate (fully online, remote) courses on our beautiful campus located midway between Boston and New York City.
Responsibilities:
Teach 2-6 credits of designated contact time with students.
Prepare engaging lectures, projects, homework assignments, and assessments that align with the course syllabus.
Grade assignments promptly and provide constructive feedback to support student success.
Maintain regular office hours and be available for at least one additional hour per week, either in-person or virtually, to assist students.
Attend program and department meetings as requested.
Demonstrate effective teaching methods and provide clear instruction related to your course content.
Utilize available technology to enhance the learning experience.
Meet all designated class periods as outlined in the academic calendar.
Submit mid-semester and final grades to the Registrar's Office on time, and leave course records with the department chairperson after the course concludes.
Foster a supportive atmosphere conducive to student learning and achievement.
Requirements:
A master's degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field from a regionally accredited institution is required for teaching undergraduate courses.
Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Additional Information:
Teaching assignments are part-time and based on semester needs and student enrollment.
Courses may be offered in various formats, including in-person, synchronous online, and asynchronous online, at different times throughout the week. Please indicate your availability and experience with different teaching formats in your cover letter.
Regular attendance is crucial, demonstrating reliability and commitment to your responsibilities.
Compensation:
Non-Terminal Degree & 0-6 credits experience: $3,000
Terminal Degree & 0-6 credits experience: $3,200
