Job Description

We’re seeking a Senior Copywriter to join a high-impact creative team supporting one of the world’s leading gaming brands. This is your opportunity to transform bold ideas into compelling copy across a wide range of marketing channels—from high-energy taglines to long-form blog narratives and product descriptions that spark engagement. If you know your way around a headline and an RPG, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we want to hear from you. This is a 40-hour/week freelance, hybrid position (3 days onsite in the Seattle area), with an initial contract of six months and potential to extend. You’ll collaborate with creative leads, marketers, and strategists to shape a global brand voice that resonates deeply with gamers around the world.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop engaging, performance-driven copy across multiple formats and platforms—including websites, emails, digital ads, blogs, social media, and product pages.
  • Create sharp, sticky headlines and slogans that align with product launches, promotions, and brand campaigns.
  • Craft clear and compelling product descriptions that highlight key features and motivate purchase.
  • Write informative and sharable social content that connects with core gaming audiences.
  • Collaborate with design, brand, and marketing teams to concept campaign ideas and bring them to life with creative copy.
  • Draft and maintain Tone of Voice guidelines to ensure consistency across internal and external communications.
  • Author long-form blog content that educates and excites readers while supporting SEO and brand strategy goals.
  • Leverage performance data and A/B testing insights to refine messaging and improve engagement.
  • Maintain editorial accuracy, brand alignment, and grammatical precision in all deliverables.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, including at least 2+ years within the gaming or tech industry.
  • Experience developing brand voice and tone guidelines, writing scripts or video content, and creating copy across digital touchpoints including social media, email, landing pages, and eCommerce.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing catchy headlines and impactful copy across a range of formats and media.
  • Proven ability to adapt tone and style for different gaming genres and audience segments—from family-friendly to hardcore horror.
  • Deep familiarity with gaming culture, terminology, industry trends, and emerging platforms.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills and an obsessive attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and content production workflows.
  • Understanding of localization and internationalization best practices.
  • Collaborative experience working with design tools like Figma or similar platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience.
If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
