Job Description

ERP FISCAL / FINANCIAL SYSTEMS OFFICER (Permanent) Our client, a civic organization in WNY, is looking to hire an ERP Fiscal / Financial Systems Officer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a resident of the City of Buffalo who is a self-starter and has a keen eye for detail.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ERP administration in order to streamline financial processes and ensure accuracy/data integrity
  • Collaborate with several departments to determine ERP system’s effectiveness/functionality, pinpoint issues, and determine best course of action to resolution
  • Assess current processes to determine areas for improvement, working alongside the Dept. of MIS (Management Information Systems) and various stakeholders to implement changes and increase efficiency
  • Act as the point of contact for technical support/troubleshooting for internal and external departments across the city and liaise with external service providers when necessary
  • Support financial reporting processes, performance reporting, and FOIL requests (Freedom of Information Law)
  • Ensure SOPs for ERP data entry are being followed and provide appropriate training to ensure data integrity at all times
  • Analyze current ERP system for operational performance, analyze for effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvements or new technologies to be implemented
  • Ensure compliance is maintained at all times
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ERP system data, permissions, and controls
  • Regularly research new technologies & systems for possible implementation
  • Complete special projects in a timely manner
  • Work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary

 

Details:

  • Position is full-time, direct hire
  • 100% in-office
  • Must live in the City of Buffalo or move to the city within 6 months of start date
  • Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
  • $75,000 - $90,000 annually depending on experience
  • Excellent Health Insurance or Healthcare allowance, PTO, Retirement match, NYS Retirement Plan
  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • 2+ years’ experience in ERP Accounting/Auditing Administration
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Excel & various financial software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent analysis and interpretation skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Relocation not available
