The salary range for this position is $60.00 - $79.67 (Hourly Rate)
Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to work in our Hospice/Palliative Care department. This has a combo of outpatient and inpatient, but mostly outpatient. The APN will see patients for face-to-face Hospice visits, symptom management visits, eligibility assessments, inpatient rounding for new admissions to GIP, attend interdisciplinary Teams (IDT) meetings. Would act as Hospice attending for some patients.
Schedule: M-F, days; no nights/weekends/holidays; On-call required, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays (1 week every 13 weeks and covering Medical director when he is off)

The APRN Certified Nurse Practitioner is a licensed registered nurse (RN) and therefore can perform all functions that are within the scope of an RN License. In addition, the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse must have a current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License and have earned a masters or doctoral degree in a specialized area of nursing. The licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse functions autonomously in a specialized area of nursing and collaborates with other health care professionals to provide direct care that is comprehensive, reflects advanced knowledge, clinical expertise and is evidenced based on current research and practice.
