Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Inpatient Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will: + Draw blood samples from patients (fingers, heels, or veins) using aseptic techniques. + Ensure accurate collection of the correct type and amount of specimen. + Document all requests and accurately release lab work results. + Notify physicians promptly of released lab results. + Manage appropriate routing, handling, and processing of various medical specimens. + Order, distribute, and maintain stock of supplies as needed. + Train and provide performance feedback for other lab assistants. + Handle a daily patient load of 60-80 individuals with efficiency and care. Required Skills + Proficient in blood draws and sample collection techniques. + Familiarity with outpatient and inpatient phlebotomy practices. Top Skills: + Medical expertise + Drawing techniques + Phlebotomy (Phlebo) proficiency + Outpatient procedures Qualifications + At least 1 year of professional phlebotomy experience. + Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive patient experience. + Cerner experience is a plus but not mandatory; candidates must be computer-savvy.
