Job Title: Full-Time Nanny for Infant & Future Children

Location: Logan Square, Philadelphia, PA

Overview:This family is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and experienced nanny who will become an integral part of their household. With a busy professional life and some flexibility to work from home, they are looking for someone who shares their values and will grow with the family over time.

  • Children: Currently an infant, with plans for more children in the future.

  • Home Environment: The family values healthy living, outdoor activities, and maintaining a clean and organized home. The family enjoys outdoor excursions, so being comfortable with outdoor activities in all weather is essential.

The Ideal Candidate:

The family is looking for a long-term, nurturing nanny who can support them in raising their children, provide high-quality care, and become an extended member of the family. The ideal nanny will be flexible, reliable, and open to learning new things. A background in childcare and experience with infants is essential, and speaking a second language is preferred. The nanny should be comfortable with a dog and able to take initiative in all aspects of the children’s care and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infant Care: Provide attentive and nurturing care for the infant, including feeding, diapering, and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Outdoor Activities: Take the infant (and future children) on daily outdoor excursions, such as walks, park visits, library trips, and other local adventures.
  • Breastfeeding Assistance: Take the infant to the mother's workplace for breastfeeding 1-2 times per week (1.5-mile walk or bus ride).
  • Cloth Diapering & Elimination Communication: Maintain cloth diapering routine and assist with elimination communication as part of the childcare approach.
  • Meal Prep: Prepare simple meals for the parents when possible and help with ingredient prep for family meals.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized home, including laundry and light cleaning.
  • Errands: Help with errands like picking up dry cleaning, grocery runs, and occasional post office visits.

Position Requirements:

  • Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Personality Traits: Reliable, flexible, positive, patient, and proactive.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $35' $40/hr per hour
